SportyCo Predict & Win Game aftermath (in numbers)
Champions League 2018/19 has ended and most probably agree that this 64th season of Europe’s premier club football tournament was full of surprises. And since the end of the championship meant also the end our Predict & Win Game, we took a look at some final statistics.
64,7% of you predicted that Liverpool will win the finals, but only 8,8% predicted the exact score 2:0.
Liverpool was a favourite in 8 from 13 matches they played, with more than 50% of votes every time. The highest number of votes, for the total of 98,5%, was for the match Liverpool vs Crvena zvezda, where Liverpool won 4:0. In the home game of Crvena zvezda vs Liverpool, on the other hand, only one predicted that Crvena zvezda will win 2:0.
Tottenham was a favourite only in the matches against Dortmund, Internacional and PSV. Only 10,3% predicted that Tottenham will win Ajax in semifinals and nobody predicted the exact score, which was 3:2 for Tottenham. Also in the game Tottenham vs Manchester City, only 9,7% predicted that Tottenham will win, and only 3,2% were exact.
81,3% of those who participated in our quiz predicted correctly that Liverpool, Tottenham, Ajax and Barcelona will go to semifinals, but only 17,6% predicted that Liverpool and Tottenham will go to finals. 29,4% taught Ajax and Barcelona will be in finals, 17,6% Liverpool and Ajax, 11,8% Tottenham and Barcelona, 5,9% Ajax and Tottenham, and the same 5,9% Barcelona and Liverpool.
The most predictable match was Liverpool vs Porto with 53,3% exact predictions. Following was Atlético vs Monaco with 49,06%, and Juventus vs Young Boys with 37,1%, while the other match between teams was one of the last predictable since there were no exact nor correct game predictions – Young Boys won 2:1. There were no exact nor correct predictions also in the game Dortmund vs Club Brugge, that was 0:0.
75,5% of World Cup Game players were male and 11,2% female. There were 33% of participants 24-34 years old, 22% 18-24, and 20% 35-44.
